NEED:  There is an ever increasing need to become environmentally sensitive in the use of products that are used to seal prepared road base prior to paving.

PROBLEM: Finding a product that will penetrate & wear like MC-30, is comparably priced, easy to apply, and safe to the enviorment.

ANSWER: Enviro-Prime

EnviroPrime, A product developed by Southwest Envirotech Services, Inc., in Richardson, Texas, is a cationic modified petroleum resin and asphalt emulsion concentrate that can be used as a prime seal agent. It is diluted with water at a rate of 6:1 (6 parts water to 1 part product) prior to application to the road surface.

EnviroPrime is applied at ambient temperature with a distributor truck.  It is recommended that a road grader be used to reshape the roadbed to ensure a sufficient crown in the road surface that will promote good water drainage. This process, along with proper compaction for stabilization, will increase the longevity of the EnviroPrime treatment.

In addition to suppressing the irritating effects of airborne dust itself, EnviroPrime is effective in stabilizing road base aggregate materials.
